About Brett Tyley

After finishing University Brett went on to complete a degree in Screen Arts in Cinematography – “Mainly I just wanted to learn how to make a film.”

Brett Tyley started out at the age of 13 as a small time entrepreneur selling curbside numbers door to door, later the experience of starting this very small business for some extra pocket money would come in handy.

After finishing school Brett took an offer from his father to join the family business and learn the ropes of the Transport industry in logistics and freight with Transpac Removals.

After some success Brett had an aching to do something else more creative with film and cinema.

“Going back to University was one of the best decisions of my life as I gained a passion for learning and telling a story that set me on a road of self discovery with what I wanted to do in my life”

Brett’s first short film gained some attention with Brett being asked to appear in person to discuss his short film called “Positions Vacant”

-··· “I didn’t do too bad for a first film, I wrote the film within 1 week of shooting and we shot about an hour of footage over 2 days – it wasn’t too bad considering that I seriously ill at the time and just had to get through it.”

"One of the highlights in my life at that time was getting invited to the AFI Awards where I got to meet so many people in the industry, allot of them were my heroes including Baz Luhrman, Catherine Martin, Eric Banner, Russell Crowe was there as well as Nicole Kidman".
